Mr. Leonard's Mobile Knife and Scissor Sharpening Service
If you live or work in the Richmond, Virginia Metropolitan Area, we will come to you!
Mr. Leonard's Sharpening Service has been servicing restaurants, commercial kitchens, and salons in the Richmond, Virginia area for almost 10 years.
We are a mobile knife and scissor sharpening service and we can add you to our scheduled stops when we are in your area. It may be a few days before we are in your area but you will save the cost of shipping, which is often $15.00 or more.
Give us a call, 804-378-2666, let us know what you need sharpened, and we will add you to our schedule.
There is a $20.00 minimum so you may want to ask your friends if they have anything to be sharpened also. (At your home we will need access to electricity, good lighting, and protection from the weather.)

There are times where only scissors will do the job correctly. For kitchen, home, sewing, quilting, or your work-shop, we can sharpen your scissors to cut better than new.
Although knives are the majority of items we sharpen, over 20% of our work is sharpening scissors.
Scissors are a specialty tool that perform a job knives are not designed to do. Sharp scissors provide quick and accurate cuts to a wide variety of materials while using only one hand. Dull scissors provide aggravation and waste your time.

Scissors are more than two knives with the handles screwed together. The sharpening process is totally different from knives and requires unique training for different types of scissors. We focus on scissors used for the kitchen, sewing, quilting, and in the shop.
If you have haircutting scissors or pinking shears to be sharpened, please call us first.
Scissors are designed to be able to be sharpened multiple times. Our sharpening system provides you with a cutting edge that is sharper than the factory but removes the least amount of material necessary. While we have them we will also adjust your scissors to provide the best possible cut and longest edge life.
